Gearing your Business to Attract Millennials

The most diverse and most educated working class in today’s job market are millennials. Also known as Generation Y, these individuals were born anywhere from 1980-2000. So, why does catering to this group make so much business sense? Well, they are the largest group of professionals and comprise the majority of the market. So, in order to boost profits, it’s beneficial to engage this generation. As we take a closer look at how to achieve this, ensure your FabriCare Insurance Program is up to date and in effect to protect your operations.

Find out their preferences.

It’s in your best business interest to get to know these millennials and figure out what they want and need. Since they are often busy and have money, either from their own ventures or from the security of their parents, consider offering additional services for them. For example, if you are located next to a college, you could offer pick up and drop off services for those who live in the dorms. Or, take it a step further and employ a few college kids to promote the service and coordinate the pick-ups and drop-offs.

Next, as millennials are environmentally aware, do your best to demonstrate your efforts toward environmentally sound practices. According to American Dry Cleaner, tell customers you have searched out the cleaning system and cleanser that uses minimal chemicals and does the least harm; you refuse to use cleaning additives that harm the environment. You spend money to maintain your commitment to the future; you deal with vendors that uphold the same concerns. Furthermore, you donate to environmental groups.

Lastly, spend marketing dollars where it counts. Go to their local hangouts and places they are loyal to. Whether it’s the local bus stop next to campus or the pub they frequently visit, get your materials into these places to attract their business. Remember, you can’t attract millennials with materials they are never going to see.
