As a General Insurance Agency & Specialty Insurance Agency, our history began with our founder, Irv Weber. In 1946, Irv formed IWA to meet the Workers’ Compensation needs of professional trade associations. His first success was in designing an insurance program for a dry-cleaning industry association. Soon the program grew into IWA’s hallmark FabriCare Advantage™ Program. Our program, Fabricare Advantage became the largest in the county. Irv then branched out into other sectors. He left a legacy that allowed the next generations to build a full-service Insurance Agency offering A Rates (A.M. Best) and admitted insurance coverage to local businesses through local agents.

In addition to our signature Dry Cleaner’s program, FabriCare Advantage™ Program offers coverage to dry cleaners, coin-operated laundromats, linen suppliers, and commercial launderers. We also offer coverage on hundreds of other NAIC class codes. We can offer insurance coverage on hotels, LRO/Commercial Properties, Auto Repair Shops, Liquor Stores, Hardware Stores, Offices (dentist, chiropractors) and many more. IWA’s main carrier is QBE, although we have access to Travelers, Hartford, & Liberty Mutual. We can also access Employers for Worker’s Compensation; Starstone for umbrellas, Great American for Cyber, and more. Local Agents don’t need to be appointed with IWA to access our carriers. You simply send in your submission and one of our professional underwriters will review it for eligibility. If it is eligible, we will provide your agency with a formal proposal, which you can present to your prospect. Once you are ready to bind your first account with us, we will ask you to submit a broker agreement along with a copy of your E&O and License. It’s that simple to do business with IWA.
